The Main Event - Wall Street Versus Main Street

Good evening ladies and gentlemen, I am Buck Boxer your announcer for tonight's boxing festivities. We have a special treat tonight, as the world champion Wall Street will be defending his championship. The challenger Main Street has been around four decades, has an outstanding record, and?will give Wall Street one heck of a battle. Joining me in the broadcast booth is the previous undefeated world champion Carl "The Crusher" Side Street, providing expert analysis.

Buck: How do you see the fight unfolding Carl?

Carl: Well Buck, the champion has come off two bruising fights against Greed and Massive Paper. It was the first time in his lustrous career; he was dropped to the canvas, and his three corner men: the House of Representatives, the Senate, and President patched him enabling him to score T K O's. He is rested, revitalized; showing no after affects, and Main Street could be in for some trouble.

Buck: What is your assessment of Main Street?

Carl: His last eight bouts he has taken horrible beatings; it started with a heart breaking loses to the Housing Market, Jobs, and 401K, those were followed up with split decision losses to Bailout for the Auto Industry, Bailout for the Banks and Bailout for the Insurance Industry: finally the two knockouts by Increased Credit Card Rates, and Medical Insurance. Over his long career, Main Street has continually gotten up off the canvas and snatched victory from the jaws of defeat. Tonight, he will need all his inner strength and this may not be enough.

Buck: Have you read about the controversy surrounding Wall Street's manager Greg Greed and his partnership with the insurance giant More Money?

Carl: I read about it but received most of my information from the internet. ?However, I heard recently the debt was repaid since the last fight enabling Greed and his partners to make millions. Rumor has it they stepped on many people to get the loan, which pushed Wall Street back on top.

Buck: Do you think Main Streets experience will enable him to overcome the odds tonight?

Carl: I fought him fifteen years ago, when he was on the top of his game, and was knocked out in the third round. After the fight, he came to my? ?dressing room, made sure I was all right, and thanked me for a good fight. He is a real gentleman, I wanted a rematch, but it never happened. In his heyday, he was unstoppable, had a great following, and created a new class of people called the middle class. They built a strong economy with their blood, sweat, and tears, and were prosperous for many years. Their downfall started when Greed created buildings and homes on paper, which turned into a house of cards. Main Street may lose tonight's bout but will never retire and again will rise to the top.

Buck: So, what do you think about the future of Wall Street?

Carl: I was knocked out by Wall Street a few years back. He never came to see how I was doing; Greed took his entourage, and headed for the best nightclub to celebrate their victory. Right now, he is on the comeback road; in the future, I see him having problems, as the majority of people don't like nor support Greed and his partners. His reign will end and when it does, not many will be saddened.

Buck: Thank you. That was an outstanding analysis of the upcoming fight. We will now turn our attention to the ring announcer who will introduce tonight's combatants.

Ring Announcer: Good evening ladies and gentlemen, it is my pleasure to introduce to you from the multiple main streets throughout the country wearing the red, white, and blue trunks, the challenger Main Street with a record of; 60 knockouts, 30 TKO'S, 15 defeats and 10 draws. Let's hear it for Main Street. In the blue corner wearing black trunks and hailing from one street in New York City, the defending world champion Wall Street.

With Kindest regards, Judowolf
